IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE FUTURE OF OUR BASKETBALL PROGRAM
The Philadelphia School Board has decided to close the public school facilities on Saturday's and at 8pm on week nights effective Saturday February 11, 2012. Somerton currently holds the following permits for basketball:
Washington High School Tuesday's, Thursday's, and Friday's from 6pm-9pm
Comly School Wednesday's from 6-9pm and Saturday's from 9am-12noon
Loesche School Tuesday's and Thursday's from 6pm-9pm and Saturday's from 9am-2pm.
The decision by the school board will have a huge negative impact on our program. Currently we utilize the public schools for team practices and in-house basketball games. Additionally, most of our travel teams play in leagues which also use the public schools for games. Our members NEED these facilities to remain open. Please contact Sate Representative Brendan Boyle (215-676-0300) and State Senator Michael Stack (215-281-2539) to voice your concerns.

Important 2012 Registration Information
2012 club registration will begin on February 1, 2012. Once again, there will be no increase in dues; however, there will be a change in how the family plan will be applied. Below you will find the dues structure and the new family plan policy (which in fact is the old policy just being enforced)
Family Plan 1 Child $120
Family Plan 2 Children $150
Family Plan 3 or more Children $180
Intramural and Cheer-leading $ 40
Pay per Sport $ 80
Your only opportunity to take advantage of the family plan will be when you initially sign your child up for his/her first sport of the year. If, at that time, you choose to pay per sport, you will be required to pay per sport for the remainder of the year.
